Inati se Slavonijo orilo se ovaj put u Karlovcu. Rukometaši Spačve stigli su do svoje sedme pobjede u ovoj sezoni. Tri kola prije kraja regularnog dijela osvojili su dva važna boda koja ih i dalje drže među prve četiri momčadi i vode u Ligu za prvaka. Bolje su od samog početka igrali Vinkovčani, ali uporni domaćini nisu se predavali.Pa se na poluvrijeme otišlo neriješenim rezultatom 13:13. Izjednačenost se nastavila i u drugom poluvremenu i to do posljednjih deset minuta. Tada je Spačva ubacila u brzinu više i serijom od četiri pogotka Marka Vignjevića i Tomislava Babića prelomila susret i došla na +4 (26:22) šest minuta prije kraja. Pokušavali su Karlovčani do samoga kraja izjednačiti ali vise od časnog poraza nisu mogli. Završili su utakmicu s tri uzastopna pogotka, ali nisu uspjeli izjednačiti. Vinkovčani su tijekom cijelog susreta odigrali taktički i tehnički odlično uz čvrstu obranu i veliko zalaganje cijele momčadi tijekom cijelog susreta. Prvo ime Spačve bio je Marko Nađ sa sedam pogodaka, a Vignjević i Babić dodali su po pet. Odlični su bili vratari Stojanović i Eres. Priliku za potvrdu plasmana u Ligu za prvaka Hrvatske, Vinkovčani će imati u subotu 3.3.2018. na domaćem terenu (OS Bartol Kašić Vinkovačko Novo selo) kad u goste dolazi HRK Gorica.
